Since 1927, Barratt Due has been a powerhouse in the Norwegian music industry, educating musicians from the first note, to a life on the concert stage. The institute unites teaching and performance in a unique community, where children, young people, students and professional musicians, meet through learning, inspiration and musical collaboration.

At Barratt Due, students will receive dedicated mentoring and ongoing support in a unique and inspiring learning environment.
With us, the teaching is professional- and performance-oriented, with a focus on developing your own artistic voice and making sure you are ready for a career in music performance. From the first semester you will be on stage, either as a soloist, in chamber groups or in larger ensembles and opera productions.
The Bachelor’s degree opens doors to a wide array of career paths: orchestral musician, opera singer, chamber musician, soloist or freelance performer. You can also choose to continue your studies with a Master in Music Performance or extended studies with Practical Pedagogical Education (PPU).
