Application and admission process for the two-year Master’s Programme in Music Performance

This page provides all relevant information regarding the entrance examination for the 2-year Master of Music performance: Solo Instrument/Chamber Music (Solo Focus).

Deadlines and important dates for applicants to the 2-year Master of Music performance at Barratt Due:

  • 1 November 2025:
    The application form opens. Søknadsweb and the additional application form is open.
  • 15 December 2025: Application deadline.
    The online application form closes at 23:59 (CET). Remember to include all required documentation. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • 17 December 2025: Deadline for supplementary form and video audition.
    Applies only to applicants from outside the Nordic region who have chosen the digital audition option.
  • 1 February 2026: Language documentation deadline.
    International applicants must submit proof of English language proficiency by this date.
  • Early February 2026: Invitation to live audition/digital interview.
    Applicants from outside the Nordic region who have chosen a digital audition will receive an invitation to an online interview.
  • 17–21 February 2026: Live auditions.
    On-site entrance examinations at the Norwegian Academy of Music, Slemdalsveien 11, 0369 Oslo.
  • 28 February 2026: Admission results.
    Results will be published in Søknadsweb, and offer letters will be sent by e-mail.
  • 1 August 2026:
    Deadline for submitting the Bachelor’s diploma for degrees completed in the spring of 2026.

Information about the auditions

The application process for the 2-year Masters in Music performance is a formal collaboration between Barratt Due and the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH)

Your application will be registered with us, but the audition-process will further be processed by NMH.

The adress for the auditions is Slemdalsveien 11, Oslo.

The invitation to the on-site audition or digital interview will be sent by, and conducted at, the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH).
