Student and Staff Participation
The Barratt Due Academy regards students and staff as key contributors to its systematic quality assurance work and promotes active participation across all areas of the Quality Assurance System. In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the quality of its educational provision, the Academy gathers information from a range of relevant sources, both internal and external.
Student Participation
Students actively contribute to the development of the Academy’s educational provision by providing feedback and participating in committees and advisory bodies. This ensures that the student perspective forms an integral part of the quality culture at The Barratt Due Academy and provides a strong basis for identifying both strengths and areas for improvement within the educational provision from the students’ perspective.

Staff Participation

External Perspectives
Applicants and Admissions Panels
Both applicants and members of the admissions panels are invited to provide feedback on the organisation and conduct of the admissions process through a digital survey following the completion of admissions.
Internal and External Examiners
Examination boards evaluate both the conduct of examinations and the academic standards demonstrated by candidates. Evaluations are carried out digitally following the completion of examinations.
Alumni
Through the Barratt Due Institute of Music Alumni Network, The Barratt Due Academy gathers information on the subsequent careers and professional activities of former students.
Professional Life and the Higher Education Sector
The Barratt Due Academy places great emphasis on involving external representatives from professional life and the higher education sector in the evaluation of its study programmes in order to ensure that its educational provision remains up to date and relevant to society. Examples include periodic reviews, participation in the AEC's international Artemis project, in which leaders from five conservatoires review one another’s development plans, and the involvement of professional practitioners through panel discussions and other forums for academic and professional dialogue.

Through the Norwegian Database for Higher Education Statistics (DBH), The Barratt Due Academy obtains data and reports that provide insight into the quality of education, particularly in relation to learning outcomes and academic results.
