Course Overview

  • Credits: 30 ECTS credits
  • Level (Cycle): Bachelor’s level (First Cycle)
  • Teaching Period and Duration: Teaching begins in the autumn semester and extends over two semesters
  • Admission Requirement: Admission to the Bachelor’s Programme in Music Performance
  • Prerequisites: Successful completion of the first and second years of the Bachelor’s Programme in Music Performance, as well as HINS3300 Main Instrument Vocal 3. A delay of up to 10 ECTS credits is permitted.
  • Location of Instruction: Oslo
  • Assessment: Examination

Learning Outcomes

Students who have successfully completed the course:

Teaching and Learning Methods

The course includes:

  • Individual tuition with the main instrument teacher.
  • Accompaniment sessions, where relevant.
  • Active and passive participation in interpretation classes within the section.
  • Masterclasses, where relevant in collaboration with external partners.
  • Participation in concerts with solo repertoire.
  • Chamber choir and vocal projects as defined in the Academy’s annual plan.
