Course Overview

Learning Outcomes

Students who have successfully completed the course:

  • are able to reflect on the relationship between their principal study and supporting subjects.

Teaching and Learning Methods

The course includes:

  • Individual tuition with the principal study teacher.
  • Masterclasses, where relevant in collaboration with external partners.
  • Active and passive participation in interpretation classes within the section.
  • Accompaniment sessions with the Academy’s accompanist.
  • Participation in concerts with solo repertoire.
  • Chamber Choir.
  • Language I for singers.
  • Compulsory courses delivered through seminars or equivalent formats:
    • Vocal Anatomy (completed during the first or second year of study).
    • Practice and Occupational Physiology (completed during the first or second year of study).
