Vebjørn Anvik teaches piano and chamber music at the Academy and in the Young Talents programme.

Vebjørn Anvik has an active and versatile career as a pianist and chamber musician. As the pianist of the Grieg Trio, he has performed concerts in Europe, Asia, and the USA, and has won several national and international awards. He has released multiple CD recordings as both a chamber musician and soloist, and is also an active pedagogue.

Anvik was educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. He studied piano with Eline Nygaard, Einar Steen-Nøkleberg, and Peter Feuchtwanger, participated in masterclasses with Elisabeth Leonskaja and Hans Leygraf, and studied chamber music with András Mihály, Eli Goren, and Norbert Brainin.

He gave his debut concert in Oslo in 1981 and has since performed numerous solo recitals and appeared as a soloist with several Norwegian symphony orchestras. He was awarded the Robert Levin Prize in 1993. Anvik has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at numerous Norwegian and European music festivals.
