Ting Zu Chen is a sought-after violin pedagogue who teaches in the Young Talents programme.
Chen came to Norway in 1981 and completed performance studies in violin at the Østlandet Music Conservatory (now the Norwegian Academy of Music) and studied pedagogy at the Agder Music Conservatory (now the University of Agder). Before coming to Norway from Shanghai, China, he studied violin with Shen NianZu.
He began teaching in the Young Talents programme in 1996, since then many of his students have won prizes in national and international competitions.
In addition to teaching violin, Ting Zu Chen also conducts chamber orchestras in the Eastern Norway region.
