Randi Krogvold Lundqvist

Flute, Head of WindsAcademy, Musikk på Majorstuen, Young Talents

Randi Krogvold Lundquist has extensive experience as both a performing musician and a teacher.

Randi Krogvold Lundqvist has been an active performing flutist throughout her career and has been part of the environment around the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Oslo Chamber Academy, and the major professional orchestras in Norway. She has performed as a chamber musician at all the major Norwegian festivals and has played on the largest stages both domestically and internationally.

Randi has extensive experience as a teacher and in talent development. She teaches flute students at Unge Talenter and Musikk på Majorstuen, in addition to leading ensembles and teaching chamber music. As the head of the wind section at Unge Talenter and the College, Randi, together with the dedicated wind teachers at Barratt Due, has built a strong and thriving wind community.

Randi was educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where she earned a performing master’s degree. She has also studied with Trevor Wye in England. She has previously taught at Vestby Music School and developed Molto Musikk, the school’s talent program. For many years, she was affiliated with Valdres Summer Symphony as a teacher with responsibility for the wind section.

At Barratt Due Institute of Music, Krogvold is the head of the winds department at both the Academy and Unge Talenter. She also teaches at Musikk på Majorstuen, Unge Talenter, and the Academy.

Today, Randi is also part of the teaching staff for the talent initiative YOMA in Vänersborg, Sweden.
