Mirjam Kringen-Torberntsson teaches piano as a secondary instrument at Musikk på Majorstuen, where students learn fundamental piano techniques, classical repertoire, and chordal playing.
Her teaching integrates theory and choir, with students developing skills in ear training, improvisation, and musical analysis. Classes often involve ensemble playing, including instruments such as bass and drums. Mirjam also teaches music theory at Musikk på Majorstuen.
She has performed in numerous concerts organized by Rikskonsertene and Den Kulturelle Spaserstokken and has toured across Norway with concerts and children’s performances.
Mirjam has extensive pedagogical experience. Before joining Musikk på Majorstuen, she worked at various cultural schools and music programs at secondary schools, as well as the talent development program for young musicians at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
