María Alejandra Conde-Campos is the leader of the Children’s Orchestra and an Associate Professor in cello.

María Alejandra Conde-Campos is the leader of the Children’s Orchestra and an Associate Professor in cello at the Barratt Due Institute of Music, Music School division.

María is a classical cellist and educator. She studied with Truls Mørk at the Norwegian Academy of Music and holds a master’s degree from the Barratt Due Institute of Music. Today, she works as a cello teacher at Barratt Due while also pursuing freelance work with Norwegian orchestras, solo and chamber music engagements, and interdisciplinary outreach for children and youth through programs such as the Cultural Schoolbag.

María plays a cello made by Simone Fernando Sacconi in 1917, generously on loan from Dextra Musica.
