Karin Seppola

Alongside her professional career as an oboist, Karin Seppola is responsible for teaching oboe at Musikk på Majorstuen. She also teaches music theory.

Seppola completed her major in oboe and chamber music at the Norwegian Academy of Music and has also studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin.

She has performed as an oboist in professional orchestras in Norway and Sweden and has toured extensively throughout Europe and Asia. In addition to chamber music, she has played in pop bands and contributed to numerous CD recordings, film music, and commercial projects.

Since her student days, she has been teaching children and young people to play the oboe, an instrument she is passionate about introducing to more children.

In addition to her position at Barratt Due Music Institute, Karin Seppola also teaches at Kontra Kulturskole in Ski and at Oslo Music and Culture School.
