Joachim Kwetzinsky

Joachim Kwetzinsky is associate professor and accompanist for the vocal students at Barratt Due Academy.

Joachim Kwetzinsky is a prominent Norwegian pianist with extensive experience as a soloist and chamber musician/accompanist. He has premiered over 30 works by Norwegian and international composers and has recorded numerous CDs.

He completed his diploma studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where he studied under Einar Steen-Nøkleberg and Liv Glaser. Prior to that, he studied with Jiri Hlinka at Barratt Due.

Kwetzinsky has performed concerts throughout Scandinavia as well as in France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Iceland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, the USA, China, Oman, Bangladesh, Jordan, Sudan, Lebanon, and Russia. He has also appeared as a soloist at festivals including the Bergen International Festival, the Northern Norway Festival, Nordland Music Week, Ultima, Christmas at the Kremlin, and Wörthersee Classics.

Joachim Kwetzinsky is the recipient of the Robert Levin Festival Prize, has won awards at the international Concours Grieg, and was one of the featured artists in the Norwegian Concert Institute’s three-year launch program INTRO-Classical.
