Values and Identity – Music as a human connection
Our Values
Music touches everyone. Our mission is to provide children and young people with access to high-quality music education.
Barratt Due is not just a place of learning, but a community sharing belief in the power of music. Through education our students learn to listen, collaborate, and express themselves. The joy of creating music together brings forth a culture of mutual respect and shared ambition, where excellence and consideration continue to grow.
The Future is Built on Quality
Through rapidly changing times Barratt Due continues to believe in the real value of specialization, quality and long-term commitment to a craft. We believe dedication and resilience are needed to master an art form, to give it meaning and depth. Our commitment to society is to give young people the possibility to become world class musicians. At the same time, we know music strengthens language, concentration, creativity, and collaboration – abilities that last for a lifetime.
A sustainable music life springs forth when talent meets excellence, and when learning happens in a vibrant community. Every pupil, student and teacher carries on the legacy of previous generations – and helps shape the future of music.
Our vision is to pave way for a vibrant Norwegian cultural life.
For almost a hundred years, our motto – from music kindergarten to the concert stage – has been our guiding star. From this learning environment springs long lasting friendships, memories and an appreciation for music – both for those who continue in the pursuit of a career in music, and those who do not.
A Tradition in Breaking Boundaries
In a society driven by fast impulses, Barratt Due provides space to slow down and focus on a craft. Here, young musicians are given time to develop – With resilience as the driving force, and excellence as the goal.
