The college’s academic community, consisting of vice-principal and section heads, conducted an academic exchange at the Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) in Copenhagen in March 2025. The purpose of the visit was to gain inspiration and professional input for the academy’s ongoing work on developing a new curriculum for the bachelor’s program.
Over the course of three eventful days, the academy employees gained insight into RDAM’s work with master classes, orchestral practice, and the development of new study programs. The discussions about international collaboration, research and development (R&D), and artificial intelligence provided space for reflection on how higher music education can be adapted to a rapidly evolving world.
The exchange gave the participants valuable insight into how future music education can be strengthened through collaboration, curiosity, and professional development across borders.
βTo experience such a vibrant house with inspiring architecture, dedicated teachers and proud colleagues was incredibly rewarding. We gained greater insight into mutual challenges, good solutions, as well as perhaps a better understanding of what we excel at. Such meetings provide fresh ideas and new perspectives.β
